The Red Sea

We mourn
For the prawn
Muddy red fresh water caused him to choke
Will somebody, somewhere, please stop this oke
Gasp...no breath
Steyned to DEATH

Those who know the Kowie river well will attest to the beautiful green water in which stompies, grunter, big cob, white steenbras used to throng. Sprinting carefreely from the mouth up the clearest of green waters until the prawn banks where the water remained green at high tide, but had a natural slight muddy discolouration at low tide. WOULD YOU BELIEVE THAT A LONG-TIME RESIDENT WOULD DO THE FOLLOWING:

LOOK

at the natural river colour
at the back of this muddy
sodden 'soup'

Barbels love this water
Imagine wanting to catch
just two nice grunter
and you get 37 barbel

Guess what
The EP Record size
grunter was caught
in this region
(Granville Bradfield)

What self-respecting fish
can live in this gunge ?

Another ex-flourishing
river doomed to death
by a developer
who first blocks the
natural flow at
the mouth
causing sandbanks
now moves upriver
and kills the life there

$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Should I compare this to the human body, then I'd say the developer has first kicked it's teeth out,
then moved down and caused a pile of haemorrhoids.

This SO SCARY.

DEVELOPMENT BE DAMNED.
(In fact, why didn't the developer MAKE a dam to prevent this).
DAMN THE DEVELOPER.

Yeah, yeah...it's going to make me millions, yeah, yeah, it's gonna create nnnn jobs, yeah yeah.
