Editor's note

These web pages are filled with love and are created with great longing for the past. Sadly the past is gone and cannot be relived. There is no intent whatsoever to discredit any person in any manner whatsoever. We were there, these are the people that I knew and the manner in which they live in my mind. For example, Nyoffie's real name was Anthony but my peers just wouldn't recognise that name. His Father was uncle Horace who was persuaded by his sons, Claude and Nyoffie to play club cricket when in his fifties or sixties already. The pure joy on Uncle Horace's face was a delight to behold. (Claude was, for many years, Captain of the EP Country Districts team). Nyoffie was an incredibly naturally gifted ball player - we played rugby and cricket together.

In creating these pages my poor little brain was extended somewhat and names emerged that I truly had forgotten for years. Many of the names mentioned are not alive anymore. This is sad. But, too, it is life. Within these pages, I certainly jest some, no doubt, but if people wish to be a Jester by wearing funny red square blocks mini-skirts, then I shall abide by the rules of life and jest along. Even normality sometimes can contain humour. In today's times I battle even to find normality at home in the Kowie.

If, somewhere on these pages, unintentionally, I have remarked in a manner which does not amuse somebody, please email me and I'll change it.

Thank you.
